LEWIS AND CLARKE
EMBARK ON HISTORIC EXPEDITION Almost 200 years to the day after Meriwether Lewis and William Clark gathered their provisions and fellow travelers in St. Louis at the juncture of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers to begin their search for a usable route across the continent by water, our Serjeants Lewis and Clarke will depart on an historic expedition, seeking to relive the heroic travels of their namesakes and to discover a usable brand of cheap whiskey. Armed with their long-barreled rifles, frontier sportswear and SS&D calling cards, our intrepid Serjeants spent minutes preparing for the physical rigors of the trip. Lewis and Clark had the full support and funding of President Jefferson; our Lewis and Clarke do not. They plan to travel west more or less along the original route, although Serjeant Clarke wants to detour to contemplate the historical impact of railroad expansion on the Native Americans of the Southwest, and Serjeant Lewis wants to get laid in Chicago. From time to time the Court will update the Serjeants on the Lewis and Clarke Expedition. We wish them well in their travels. |
