ONE HUNDRED AND THIRD YEAR FIFTH SESSION--REIGN OF MEYER, J.
NOTICE OF MEETING:
SATURDAY, JANUARY 11, 2003, 12:00 noon

Hermit Club -- 1629 Dodge Court -- 216/621-2325

JUDGE RECEIVES WINDFALL

In recognition of Judge Meyer’s significant contribution in time and commitment to the Court during 2002, as DC and as Judge, his partners at SS&D have awarded him a large house pet as a year-end distribution in lieu of cash. Underwhelmed by this gesture, the Judge has let it be known that his compensation arrangement with the Court may be insufficient to retain his services or to attract talented candidates to replace him.

The Bailiff, however, has already offered to take the job on an “I’ll work for food” basis. Serjeant Carson voiced his displeasure with the Judge’s distribution, complaining, “Why should Judge Meyer get the fat cat when all I get every year are the gerbils?”
