NISI PRIUS COURT GOES BACK TO ITS ROOTS
No more women, counter-culture freaks or dwarfs (well, maybe one). The Court has stabilized its leadership by electing Judge Bruce Hearey, and he and his all-white-male officers are expected get things on track. “Back to the future, I call it,” said the new judge, happily seated on the woolsack and donning his favorite cape for a photo opportunity with the new bailiff, master of the rolls, clerk and selected influential serjeants. “Have things gotten better since women got the right to vote and get elected to Congress and as judges and all that stuff?” the judge asked rhetorically. Sjts. Newell, Stewart (Major) and Driggs kept their views to themselves, but found the photograph to be eerily familiar, “like I was there,” said Sjt. Driggs. |
