Roller’s boa) mingled with the stale smell of Sjt. Barr’s cigar. The ever-gracious staff of the Mayfield CC was mum except to say "never mind, we were planning to replace all this stuff anyway." Upon questioning, putative-Judge Ziegler confirmed that he is indeed a "lost boy"; he has blanked out the entire evening; he also seemed to have trouble hearing, until he pulled out a piece of paper that had become unaccountably lodged in his ear. On it, he appears to have written:

1. "Wise as King ______"—Master of the Rolls (extra clue for clueless sjts., "split the baby guy");
2. "Goodnight ______"—Clerk;
3. "When it _______, it pores (sp.?)—Bailiff.
