HERMIT CLUB, DECEMBER 10 – It was an ugly scene when a crush of Serjeants and unidentified hangers-on packed into the Hermit Club on Saturday to stoke down free food and drink. At the bar, a sponge downed an entire fifth of Scotch before hitting on triplets, while two mail order brides called home about their rich American cuddle-pup. Elsewhere in the melee Chief Wahoo reacted to a British maiden’s love call while competing health care providers debated the proper cure for drinker’s elbow. Robes will be worn at the Dec. 17 Christmas session to hide the effects of multiple hangovers.
