Pick-A-Lito Scheme Backfires
Judge Ziegler has uncovered a nefarious plot instituted by half a dozen serjeants who will stop at nothing for a decent part in the GA. After astutely predicting that the Alito confirmation hearings have to be skit material, and correctly noting that no one really knows what Judge Alito looks like, each serjeant sent photos and undisclosed sums of money to an editorial cartoonist. The serjeant’s features were then imprinted onto Alito’s fungible face to create a dead-ringer look-alike (see photos, left). Greed itself sent the scheme into a tailspin, however, when it turned out not only that several serjeants had the same idea, but also that the cartoonists themselves were double-dipping. Judge Ziegler refused comment on the grounds that someday the name Alito, or Frito, or Condalito may come before him.
